Updating Job Status
Mark jobs as in progress, delayed, or completed.
From the portal, crew members can update job status at every stage of the work. Each action creates a timestamped entry in the job timeline that the Owner can see.
Available Actions
Open an assigned job from the portal to access these actions:
- Clock In -- Record your arrival on site. This automatically sets the job to In Progress status.
- Post Progress Update -- Add a text note with optional photos and completion percentage.
- Report Delay -- Flag the job as delayed with a reason and note. See Delay Reporting for details.
- Clock Out -- Record your departure from the site.
- Complete Job -- Mark the job as finished.
Timeline Visibility
Every action you take is logged in the job timeline with your name and a timestamp. The Owner sees this same timeline, so they always know the current state of the job without having to call or text.
Tips
- Clock in when you arrive, not before -- the timestamp matters for records
- Post progress updates at natural milestones so the Owner can track without interrupting you
- If you hit a problem, report the delay right away rather than waiting
