Delay Reporting

Report and track job delays with reasons.

When a job hits a snag, crew members can report a delay directly from the portal. Owners see delayed jobs highlighted on their dashboard so nothing slips through the cracks.

Reporting a Delay

From the portal, open the assigned job and tap Report Delay. The delay form includes:

  • Reason -- Select from common causes: weather, materials, access issue, equipment failure, or other
  • Note -- Add details about what happened and any expected impact on the schedule

What Happens When a Delay Is Reported

  • The job status changes to Delayed
  • A red-highlighted entry appears in the job timeline with the reason and note
  • The job shows up prominently on the Owner's dashboard with a delay indicator
  • If real-time updates are enabled, the Owner sees the status change immediately

Resolving Delays

Once the issue is cleared, the crew member can clock back in or post a progress update to move the job back to In Progress status. The delay record stays in the timeline for reference.
